As explained in a previous article, work and wealth are not exactly related. A lot of wealthy people have no desire to put hard work. On the other hand, it is possible to work hard without making much money.
Both situations are not ideal. Working is a good thing, and indicates life. If you’re wealthy, you should also be interested in working on things that matter for you. Some of the wealthiest people in the word work hard, and are happy for doing so.
It is sad to see, however, that some very poor people have no desire to work either, even when they have so little. A lot of the reason for this is that being poor they don’t have the self steam necessary to do anything useful.
These people are essentially ashamed of their condition, and don’t think that they have anything useful to offer to the world.
And that is their number one mistake. Anyone has something to offer to others: be it knowledge, artistic insights, opinions, or just the grace of their looks. It is possible to offer what you have to others and make a good living.
Believing that you don’t have anything, in a sense, is the source of all poverty.
